HHASA adopts the Hamilton Heights Athletic Program Sportsmanship Expectations. Improper conduct or behavior in or out of school, during practices, games, etc, may result in suspension from the team or league determined by the Board of Directors of HHASA with the guidance of the coach during that season.

Sportsmanship Expectations for Athletes

1.       Accept and understand the seriousness of his/her responsibility, and the privilege of representing HHASA, the school corporation, and the community.

2.       Live up to the standards of sportsmanship established by the league/school and the coaching staff.

3.       Treat opponents the way the student would like to be treated, as a guest or a friend.

4.       Refrain from taunting, trash talking, and making any kind of derogatory remarks to opponents during the game.

5.       Refrain from intimidating behavior.

6.       Wish opponents good luck before the game and congratulate them following either a victory or a defeat.

Any form of unacceptable behavior by any athlete is subject to discipline which may include removal from the event and/or suspension of participation for the season or the league.
